Qualification: Graduate

Lets' laugh for a while for my Enginner status. Now my Business Card will have following lines:

B.Tech in Civil Engineering
IIT Bombay
I am just waiting for a official stamp from the academic office to offer me a degree and approve my status. Then no doubts will arise, obviously on papers, but might be when I am at work coz am offered a post of graduate enginer @ lagan Constructions. I am supposed to do some civil engg stuff there. This was the first time they recruited from India and look at their fortune they picked me up. It wll definitely change the turnovers of the comany. The company will have steep slope in their growth curve but witha negative slope.
This status is hard earned for I have put in so much of labour and painstaiking moments to reach this day. Infinite nightouts, visits to library, sitting on a comp googling and watching some educative documentaries, gave presentations and submitted few reports. I even did a simulation for my final yr thesis ,isnt word 'thesis' sound gr8 but its phoney.
Past 4 yrs have been the best time with friends and shud I also say profs.

A Race Trip!

It was Sunday, F1 Grand Prix at Imola, Ferrari took the chequred flag, We were gulping Beer and It was enough for us to get high...
We all planned to watch Schumi winnng the race on a Big Screen @ Poptates in Happy Hours boozing and cheering. But things started badly, restraunt was full packed with chinkis serving, and you must see the face of Sari at that time:P. The race started and we were lousing around outside trying to figure out the positions of drivers.
Finally we got the seat after a long hour wait, with beauty & beast around us. But all ended with Kale talking toformer and I confronting with the latter. It took 8ls of tower to satiate our long thirst for Draught Beer.
The race ended with a thrilling and pulsating turns on the side of both Renault and The Champions. I haven't seen, although I have beeing seeing schumi only from last season, Schumi so patient, calm and determined.
It was my only second booze party with Thodge, first one was at his home which none of us can forget with Sarvee planning to open an organisation to protect some illicit workers. I am happy that again we both got high.

Why Techfest???

These two words will always haunt me. You know why? Becoz after dedicating my three years to techfest(tf) I am still searching for the answer and there are others, around 100 odd ppl, too. So, 'am not alone. This question is always asked to the future managers during handing-over and it is expected that they ask it by themselve as often as it could be to carry forward the culture and tradition with which we brought up our darling baby.
We 're left with this question to think why we opted for tf when there were many other opportunities to grab. Watt attracted us towards it? Why we dedicate our 9 months to it, keeping aside studies(generally its not acceptable), friends, wing-mates.
Watt is tf? As we say, it is Asia's largest technical festival having 15k(really) in 3 days participants from all over the world. It is India's first college festival to go International with participants from USA, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Iraq, Israel, Nepal, Pakistan(!!).
Its a 9 yr old baby which takes 9 months every year to take its birth. And around 20+ ppl take the pain to breed and nurture it. There is a workforce of over 500 volunteers and lot of help from profs for the conceptulisation of problem statements, then there are designers who do lot of designing. We provide them a platorm to show the gamut of their skills (atleast they 're Innovative). Yeah we need money to give it a shape and we are scaling to new heights by each passing year.
It was the most amazing thing that happened in my life. I was in the core team of tf2k5 which also conducted the 'First Techfest Reunion'. We got the opportunity to meet the 'Baaps' of past 7 tfs.
I made few very good friends and would remember them always. I'll miss them once I passout. We have coterie of 22 ppl, who can be generally seen near any eateries and quite often at airport canteen.
Why Techfest??? I am thinking about it!!
It only takes a DREAM to create the FUTURE!!!
